dōmo arigatō

spent a nice day at a birthday party which I totally forgot about (thank goodness for an excess two hours today to run around in!) with a side of the family I never see except for, lately, it seems, funerals. came to the scary realization that we (cousins them) are now the ones who are in the generation our moms were in and now it’s *us* watching our kids run around when that used to be us. our parents are now the elderly ones while the elders *we* had are all dying off. the circle of life. I was pretty depressed. 😦

dōmo arigatō for family. we come together for both sad and joyous occasions…but at least we come together. ありがとう.
